Mom

She's been gone almost 4 years now and I still miss her so much, and she has missed so much. I wish she could have met her great grand children and that they could have met her. So much good in me came from my mother. It is so incredible that that good passes on to each successive generation.

Sorry Wendall. I bet your mom was a sweetheart as you are. Seems you got the sweet and thoughtful genes. We never appreciate what we have until it's gone do we?

Carole was peddling the paddle boat so fast the other day trying to get away from the killer geese, I bet we could have pulled a skier.

Happy birthday to your mom--a little belated. Your parents raised you right--good man.
I laughed out loud when I read about carole paddeling away from the birds--I can just picture it.

Oh Wendall. I soooo know how you feel. Has been 6 years since my mom passed. Is a cruel spot in lifes progression. I am so glad we will get to hug and see them again. Just can't make that phone call I used to. Thats what sucks.

Love ya--

I agree, there isn't an event that goes by that we don't wish she could be a part of, or we think about how much fun she would be having. Natalie tells me every week how much she wished Oma could be a part of this exciting time in her life. Even had a conversation last week about how much she would have liked the shrimp we had at a new restaurant we found. Savor and enjoy those you love, it can end way too soon.
